Water Activities
Whether you're looking to cool off outdoors on a hot summer day or swim laps indoors when it's freezing outside, Sunriver has a way for you to hit the water no matter what time of year. There are aquatic centers (like the SHARC), float trips, and whitewater rafting trips. If you want to strike out on your own, a variety of companies offer water toy rentals. Don't forget to rent a trailer to transport your rented canoe, kayak, or other large watercraft if you don't have your own.
Safety Notice: State law requires personal floatation devices for all watercraft occupants and/or users. Taking bottled water is strongly advised. The Benham Falls East Trailhead is the last takeout point before Benham Falls. All river users must exit at this point prior to the falls.
Important Notice: There is no parking or watercraft launching at the Sunriver Resort Marina (unless you are renting watercraft or purchasing a float trip from the Marina) or at the nearby Sunriver Owners (only) boat ramp. Publicly accessible put-in and take-out locations can be found at "Big River" at river mile 199.2, Harper Bridge (on Spring River Road) at rivermile 191.7, Besson Day Use Area (just off Besson/Spring River Road) at river mile 189.9, and Benham Falls East Trailhead at river mile 182.0.
